Hi guys,
Something recently has sparked my interest. I have not got any responses from any other forums like linuxquestions.org and ubuntuforums.org. I have read about how one can set up a proxy server at their home, and connect to the internet on a cell phone via the proxy server. When I contacted verizon to get the whole email/web/messaging added to my account, I was informed that it would be an additional $24-$44 per month per line (which I have 2 lines, one for me, one for my wife). Since I already pay for internet on my home computer, it does make sense that I could use a proxy server that I set up instead of using verizon wireless' server. I have seen how to change the WAP settings in my phone, but am totally clueless as to how to do the proxy server in my home. Can I do it with a single computer? If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, please let me know. I have only been using linux since early this year, so I am still fairly new to most of it.
Thanks in advance!
