We bought an Acer Aspire One today because I needed / wanted something small enough to easily carry in my bag as we're often away from the house and this seemed a better option than an iPhone or iTouch.

However I've only used Windows XP or Vista so I'm starting from zero as far as getting up to speed on the basics of Linux Lite.

Firstly I need input on a good free antivirus. I use Norton on our Window machines and tried to dowload a free version of Panda for Linux but it wouldn't downlod. Then I downloaded the free version of Avast, however I couldn't open the file. Help!!!

Also how do I clean up a disc on Linux Lite? Admittedly I'm spoiled because Windows was designed for techno-idiots such as myself.

Any advice, suggestions, help or tips will be greatly appreciated!!
