Subject: installing software on sdlc card or non primary mounted driv

i have not found a solution to this anywhere, perhaps i am searching wrong so i am posting it here.

i have an asus 900 20G with xandroxs (the version that comes on the unit)

the hd is broken up to a 4g and a 16g drive.

the 4g acts as the / and the 16g for /home/user

when i install software it all goes to the 4g (which is really only 2g because they have a "recover partion" on it).

i want to install things like picasa and open office on either the 16g or a sdhc card otherwise i run out of room.

so how do i do this?

please give details as i am now reinstalling everything.... tried to move and ln to picasa and it locked my machine so bad i had to do a reinstall (thank goodness for that anoying 2g recover mode),

Have you tried using "G-Part" or "Partition Magic" to divide up your hard drive? (Be sure not to delete your recovery partition.)
