Linux Systems Engineer - Permanent Role

We are looking for an exceptional individual to install, operate, monitor, and support the systems and network of our rapidly growing mobile social networking service. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of applying technical expertise and creativity to the challenges of a very rapidly expanding, customer-facing, 24/7 service. You will be responsible for anticipating and handling issues related to growth and constantly changing requirements, keeping our high-performance operations running smoothly and building new automation infrastructure.

Experience & requirements

·5+ years experience supporting Linux systems in high volume, critical production service environments

·Experience implementing scalable network, database, and storage architectures

·Solid knowledge of advanced networking topics including isolating, diagnosing, and resolving issues with service delivery components and network devices (servers, routers, switches, bridges, firewalls, hardware load balancers)

·Thorough knowledge of Web and mail server administration & tuning

·Excellent SQL knowledge and database skills

·High-availability network monitoring

·Efficient writing scripts to automate tasks and monitor systems

·Familiarity with content caching, content distribution, and distributed data caching

·Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues under pressure

·Previous startup experience highly preferred
